What: pop up salsa and bachata dance meet up
Hang out and dance outdoors with the Salsa family. Non dancers – Friends and Family most welcome.
When: 7 pm every first Friday
We take over a bit of public space (such as on Giralda Plaza in the Gables, or by Domino Park on 8th Street in Little Havana) for a pop-up dance party. Friends, family, and non-dancers most welcome!
No cover, no permit, no reason not to do it.
We set up a battery-powered PA and play old school On1, On2 and casino salsa, bachata, cha-cha, a little merengue and maybe even the odd tango — whatever people want to dance to.
We’ll be there until the Man comes to chase us out. Come test the limits of authority with us; all dancers are welcome.
